Amentum Security Specialist DWS in United States
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The applicants must demonstrate knowledge of, and practice established policies and procedures when executing task orders assigned by the Program Security Manager (PSM). All findings will be reported directly to the PSM, and wait for further instructions. Applicants will be responsible for securing, maintaining, and protecting Personally Identifiable Information (PII), security documentation, and Arms, Ammunition, and Explosive (AA&E) key control. Additionally, the applicants must be able to provide Physical Security Planning and understanding of logistical Security designs and give advice on Government and Contractor facilities. Applicants must hold proficiency in DOD AR 190-11, 16, and 51 and its applications while demonstrating the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment. Lastly, applicants must be able to work in a demanding and physical environment to include walking and conducting investigations in inclement weather. Be able to flexible shifts and locations.
Reports and conducts investigations and adjudications tasked by the Security Manager
Conducts oversite over the Project and Physical Security Specialist, reports to the PSM
Provides daily reports on assigned areas and conducts oversite over the security office
Be able to work in different or later shifts with short notice, throughout the work week
Reviews and evaluates current Security policies for improvements
Monitors, collects, and reports intelligence on assigned areas
Conducts daily Random Anti-Countermeasures (RAMS) at start and end of shift
Reviews and updates administrative Security documents as assigned
Provides Daily Manning Report (DMR) at requirement time
Ensures Security policies are managed in accordance with the PWS and IAW Regulations
Produces reports on security reviews at Government and industry locations
Maintain and upgrade security systems, including access badge issuance and termination
Assist the Security and Project Specialist with task orders if necessary
Assist with visitor and vendor access including policy development and assurance
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested, to include transporting Sensitive items
Qualification & Experience Requirements:
2 years of Security experience
Applicant must have a strong Administrative, Physical, Operational, and Logistical background in the form of education, degree, and/or experience
Applicant should have basic comprehensive knowledge of applicable U.S. Army regulations, policies, and procedures
Specialized knowledge and skills:
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills (including but not limited to correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, etc.)
Be computer literate and be skilled in using the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power-Point, etc.)
Able to execute work independently and as a team member. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills-using tact, patience and courtesy
Applied physical security experience and/or knowledge of Army Security regulations
Must be able to qualify for and operate Government provided light vehicles to escort personnel or sensitive items
Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Passport
Must have a current Secret or higher Clearance
Valid US Driver's License is required
Military Police/Combat Arms or similar roles in US Armed Forces or as a contractor on US Government Contract preferred

- This position is a typical shop environment with potential kneeling, standing, and walking hazards, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Constant mental alertness required, excellent planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines
