General job duties. Types of procedures required.

Main PRMC OR: Trauma, general, colo rectal, GYN and ortho are mainly our weekend cases. Occasional minor CV and minor neuro, these cases we would call in on call team, so they would need to be able to second circulate or scrub. They would be the one opening the case and getting room around.

PRMC North OR: North OR does pediatric, NICU, breast cancer, urology, plastics, ENT, pediatric endo cases, general surgery, gynecology

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)

EPIC EMR charting platform. We use standard Pyxis for nursing and Anesthesia uses a dedicated Pyxis

in every OR.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.

2 years minimum OR RN circulator experience.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc.)

IN or compact RN License, BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), are all required.

Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)

PRMC Main OR: Typically Day Shift Hours 0630-1900

PRMC North OR: Late stay is the practice at North OR (rotated amongst OR RNs) to cover the 1500-1700 Urology add on cases and any cases running beyond 1700. Would expect RN to function independently but have ability to be supported with resources. We do not work nights or weekends, unless there is a NICU emergency and this is handled by volunteers to cover the case. Entrance to the North OR is at PRMC entrance 2A

PRMC North OR: 4 OR's in the North PRMC OR department

you will be oriented to each specialty during a week and then weekend shift. Weekend volume are

inpatients and trauma

Orientation will be Mon-Fri week 1 and Mon-Tues week * - * hour days. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL 7 DAYS OF ORIENTATION.
