Job Description

Education and Experience:-High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.-Three years of related experience.

Required Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Ability to exert heavy force.

  • Ability to lift heavy objects.

-Ability to work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends.

Responsibilities:

15%: Maintain plant growth chambers and light rooms in the building.

15%: Assist with large deliveries and moving items.

15%: Log data into software platform for proper disposal of chemicals.

10%: Do monthly testing on research equipment and conduct monthly AED testing.

10%: Perform insect/disease treatments when needed. Learn and obtain related licenses for using chemicals.

10%: Decontaminate soil. Sterilize soil for growing plants.

5%: Maintain clean plant prep rooms.

5%: Order supplies.

5%: On call as needed and assist with administrative paperwork.

5%: Serve as backup for BCBP Stockroom.

5%: Performs other duties as assigned.
