Description
The Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a non-tenure track Research Assistant Professor for the NCI-supported T32 clinical and translational research training position in the Division of Supportive Care in Cancer. The program eagerly seeks highly motivated early-career stage individuals with doctorates (PhD, Dr. P.H., M.D.) in health-related areas including translational science, who are looking for skills training in cancer control research and grant writing towards developing a successful research career as an independent investigator. Two years of funding with stipends are offered along with health insurance, tuition, research support and travel to up to four scientific meetings per year.
Qualifications
NIH requires candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents. Doctorate degree (PhD, Dr. P.H., M.D.) in health related areas including translational science. Prior post-doctoral experience is allowed. Doctoral degree requirements must be met prior to hire. Applications for women and those from minority groups are strongly encouraged.
