Job Overview

Jensen Hughes has an exciting job opportunity for a highly motivated Regional Business Development Manager for our Forensics service line of business. This position and candidate will ideally be based in a major metropolitan area (e.g., Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Northeast, etc.). The Regional Business Development Manager will partner with Operations and other Business Development service line leaders throughout the company to drive new forensics investigative services. Forensics investigative services include mechanical, electrical, fire protection, structural, explosion, building envelope, fire origin & cause, metallurgy, vehicular accident reconstruction, and chemical. The successful candidate will be a confident sales leader, with a client focused service-oriented attitude, both internally and externally, and will report to the Forensics Global Service Line Leader.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for developing new business for our Forensics line of professional consulting services and winning new investigations across regional insurance, legal communities, professional organizations and other targets that align with our business strategy.

  • Drive personal sales in a focused metropolitan target area while partnering with Operational Sales Leaders to align priorities at the local level, allocate resources accordingly and provide increased collaboration to foster mutual success.

  • Reinforce relationships with current clients through regular and consistent contact and promotion of value-added services that are solutions driven.

  • Conduct a targeted number of value-added in-person client contacts each week aimed at increasing market penetration and share to gain new clients.

  • Secure, coordinate and manage forensics investigator presentations at regional industry events.

  • Participate in local marketing strategies, industry events, trade shows, etc.

  • Maintain and track performance against established personal sales goals.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience

  • Candidates with prior business development experience in forensics consulting or related professional service highly desirable.

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience partnering with Operations and driving orders and proposals for professional consulting services.

  • A network of contacts in the insurance and legal industries is a plus.

  • Record of success demonstrated by over achievement of sales goals, awards, sales ranking, etc.

  • Advanced communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to Influentially engage with both prospects and clients via phone/email/video conferences/face to face meetings, presentations, and more.

  • Ability to create and deliver sales presentations using modern office tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Dynamics, Excel).

  • Ability to build and manage an expense budget.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% within North America.

  • Engineering education or practice experience welcomed
