Blackstone Recruitment Specialist

Alliance Defending Freedom is looking for a highly skilled Blackstone Recruitment Specialist to join us in our Scottsdale, AZ or Lansdowne, VA office. As the Blackstone Recruitment Specialist, you are a vital part of the Training Team. In this role, you will report to the Director of Blackstone Recruitment and Internship and are responsible for executing the recruitment plans to recruit high-caliber law students from the top law schools and law schools nationwide and to lead the Law School Prep Academy Program.

Your Essential Responsibilities:

In this position, you will:

  • Recruit future and current law students for the Blackstone Legal Fellowship

  • Travel to law schools to hold interviews with current students

  • Connect and interview undergraduate students who are applying to or admitted to law school

  • Meet with undergraduate students to introduce them to the Blackstone Staff and JD Launch to build a pipeline of potential Blackstone Legal Fellowship candidates

  • Assist in the planning of recruitment events by researching the best date for each event based on the school’s academic calendar

  • Serve as a point of contact for students, law schools, and internally to ensure that Blackstone is well positioned on law school campuses and with key allies for recruitment purposes

  • Work closely with the Director of Blackstone Recruitment & Internship to execute the recruitment strategy and meet recruiting objectives

  • Analyze recruitment data and develop reports to keep the team informed and make informed, data-driven decisions

  • Connect with the Blackstone Interns prior to and during the Program to advise on their fit to be commissioned as a Blackstone Fellow

Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential):

  • You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned.

Skills you need to succeed:

Knowledge of:

  • Deep understanding of the Blackstone Legal Fellowship, key recruiting metrics, and how to drive them to deliver a successful outcome.

Demonstrated proficiency in:

  • Results-oriented and a self-starter who enjoys a challenge and is dedicated to “getting stuff done” with minimal support and direction

  • Highly effective judgment and interpersonal skills; and the ability to interface with all levels internally and externally in the broader legal community

  • Passionate about finding the right people; organized, detail-oriented, and would never let a great candidate slip by

Ability to:

  • Work in a high-energy and fast-paced environment

  • Professionally communicate in a way that inspires confidence and builds relationships

  • Travel approximately 60 days a year is required

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

  • 3+ years of talent acquisition experience

  • Experience in university campus recruitment is preferred
