Timber Products Company Programmer/Analyst in United States

POSITION SUMMARY

Timber Products Company is looking for an experienced Programmer/Analyst to design, build, and support secure and robust information technology systems that automate and improve business processes. The company will rely on the Programmer/Analyst to review computer programs, identify and correct problems, and develop/improve applications in accordance with defined business requirements, while thoroughly understanding the structure of Timber Products data, the systems being used, and how they are integrated. Responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating business requirements and user requests; creating and enhancing software programs and products, and participation in user testing and quality assurance of the applications.

The selected candidate may be located at our corporate office in Springfield, OR, at our administrative office in Medford, OR, or may work remotely.

MAJOR TASKS

  • Following industry-best practices, create/enhance software programs, products and modules by designing and coding software that adheres to defined business requirements. Perform comprehensive unit testing of code created.

  • Participate in the user testing/quality assurance process. Collaborate with other developers, business analysts and users to ensure that the code functions properly and meets the defined business requirements.

  • Partner with both business and technical groups to develop and maintain an effective working relationship.

  • Provide exceptional customer service for reported application issues – researching and identifying reported problems and working towards quick and appropriate resolutions.

    SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years’ related technical training or programming experience required.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or comparable experience is preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP and X++ is required.

  • Experience developing/modifying business applications using object oriented programming language and MS SQL required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong prioritization and organizational skills, and conceptual, analytical and problem solving abilities.

  • Experience with .NET is preferred.

  • Experience with SSRS or other reporting services is preferred.

  • Experience in support of Microsoft products.
