We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Procurement and Logistics Specialist I our site in Calvert City, KY.

    What you will do:

    The Procurement and Logistics Specialist I is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly Vinyl Acetate (VAM) management including barge tracking and scheduling; managing future monthly purchases from the supplier and entering requisitions; and managing a 7 day / week daily VAM inventory reconciliation. VAM barge unloading scheduling is also done for Sekisui, along with keeping daily records of usage, inventory balances, variances, and expediting barges when required. This position also supports the monthly cycle counting for VAM and Ethylene, manages the on-site ethylene cryogenic inventory including railcar moving into the plant and intra-plant, as well as enters new orders for cryogenic railcar deliveries. In addition, this position supports all procurement services activities including scheduling pre-bid meetings and supplying bid tabulations when required. Management of the VAM unloading area that is a restricted area via the Coast Guard standards, requires oversight of all Coast Guard operational regulations for unloading barges, site audits, and maintenance requirements per the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations). Other miscellaneous tasks include administrative reporting for many topics related to this job function, cost reductions efforts are required with vendor service contracts and invoice reviews for VAM carrier operations that include an annual spend of > $20 mm, operational scopes of work are developed and on-site vendor review meetings, field walk throughs, and clarifications of any work scope, vendor meetings are held to seek out potential new suppliers that can contribute to improved service and lower cost, and review contracts and initiate renewal and or other potential new bidders. The Procurement and Logistics Specialist I will also be responsible for operational aspects for PVOH and Ethylene and the responsibility for contractor service and cost analysis is required. Lastly, this position will be providing support to the Scheduling and Production team. It is the responsibility of each employee to know, understand, and diligently practice our EH&S and Security policies and practices.

    Vinyl Acetate Management, 40%

    Procurement services management, 25%

    Analyze and execute cost reduction initiatives, 10%

    Coast Guard operational management for Federal Regulation Compliance, 10%

    Logistics support for raw materials and external customer service, 15%

    What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; HS Diploma required.

  • 5 Years Minimum Number of industrial experience.

  • Additional Required Credentials (e.g. certifications, licenses, etc.)

  • Percentage of Travel - 5%

  • Knowledge skills and abilities for this position:

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to lead meetings and deliver presentations effectively.

  • Ability to collaborate and get along well with others is mandatory.

  • Knowledge of SAP and MRP
