Primary Function
The purpose of this position is to apply specific techniques for designs and improvements in production processes in order to maximize the achievement of the objectives proposed by the company.
Responsibilities
Determine time studies, plant distributions (layout), model changes times, line balancing and processes.
Selection, purchase and improvement of tools and fixtures.
Participate in the release of new equipment.
Design, require, and maintain inventories of hand tools, machine and/or equipment tooling and fixtures, to be used in the current process or in the introduction of new products.
Systematically seek to improve all productive and operational metrics.
Create and implement solutions to process problems on an ongoing basis.
Projects to reduce material and/or labor costs.
Generate and constantly use process mappings to make them more efficient.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Participate in the introduction of new products and/or projects.
Prepare and attend the ISO standard audits that correspond to their assigned area.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
English - ability to communicate verbally and in writing on a professional level .
3+ years of related work experience.
Proven experience in new processes implementation and in lines' transfer.
Demonstrated experience in Lean Manufacturing.
Experience in time and motion studies and in equipment release.
Experience with implementation / improvement of fixtures and tooling.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, Power Point and AutoCAD
Desired - VSM knowledge.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering
Years of Experience
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience or training
