The Cloud Infrastructure Delivery Engineer will work within the Infrastructure Delivery team to develop and deploy new infrastructure and platform solutions to improve the Deltek Cloud platform and delivery outstanding availability and performance to Deltek’s Cloud Customers.

This individual is responsible for Deltek’s Azure Cloud platform services including: the design and delivery of new cloud infrastructure in collaboration with the Architecture team, the delivery of ongoing project work related to continuous improvement of operations, proactive management of infrastructure, rectification of issues before they become incidents, resolution of incidents in a fast and efficient manner when escalated, identification of problems underlying incidents/resolution of root causes, and identification of opportunities for improvement in every facet of operations.

Implement and manage Azure cloud system deployments including the following:

• Develop and manage Automation.

• Environment Provisioning

• Image Management

• Promotion Process

• Data Transfers, Backup/Restore

• HA/DR

• Evaluate new technologies to improve efficiency and service availability.

• Provide advanced technical solution design to meet business requirements.

• Troubleshoot complex problems, provide software fault diagnosis resolve operational issues, and interact with vendors, etc.

• Define and document system architectures, systems configurations, and technical operational processes and policies.

• Create and implement monitoring, procedures, tools, and standards related to system, and application security (e.g., intrusion detection, denial of service, configuration change, cross site scripting, SQL injection, OS patching, etc.

• Azure Subject Matter Expert on Azure Proof of Concepts.

• Willing to work in European timings (2pm - 11pm IST).

Work Location:India-RemoteQualifications:

• Computer Science/Engineering Degree

• 10+ years of experience managing large scale, production Windows environments.

• 5+ years of experience and deep working knowledge of Microsoft Azure

• 5+ years of experience and deep working knowledge with HashiCorp Terraform on Azure including experience writing Terraform Modules

• 5+ years of experience with common application stacks

• 5+ years of experience with configuration management tools and concepts (e.g., DSC, Chef, Ansible, Docker, Puppet, etc.)

• 5+ years of experience with CI/CD tools and concepts

• Azure Artificial Intelligence experience a bonus.

• Experience with networking and security concepts, methods and technologies in large scale production Azure.

• Extensive experience with Active Directory and group policy.

• Experience with log collection tools and analysis, as well as infrastructure performance monitoring tools and optimization practices.

• Senior level experience with Windows Server

• Strong scripting skills: Python, PowerShell

• Experience with Jenkins

• Expert knowledge of DNS, Load Balancing, DB Clustering, and High Availability as it related to all tiers of architecture.

• Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short- and long-term requirements.

• Must be detail oriented, task driven, and have excellent communication skills. Customer service focus is key.

• Ability to work effectively with staff, peers, and others in and outside the organization to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems.
