MaineGeneral Health Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient Rehab, 32hrs/wk in United States

Job Summary: MaineGeneral Health is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Rehabilitation team. We are looking for a self-motivated and ambitious individual who is passionate about providing exceptional patient care in an environment that promotes professional growth and development.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform occupational skills.

  • Design appropriate plans of care, including type and frequency of treatment.

  • Implement treatment plans using appropriate modalities.

  • Document subjective and objective findings of patient progress, assessment findings, and plans.

  • Monitor and modify plans of care as needed.

  • Seek consultation as necessary.

  • Educate and counsel patients and their families/caregivers.

  • Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment settings.

  • Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.

  • Supervise and delegate care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations, and practice standards.

Qualifications:

  • Current State of Maine Occupational Therapist (OT) License (or immediately eligible for licensure) required.

  • 1-3 years of inpatient acute care or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

  • Enthusiastic, passionate, and driven to provide exceptional care.

  • Must be team-oriented!
