NewsNation is seeking a correspondent to report for the America’s fastest growing cable news network. We seek a correspondent who is a natural storyteller, someone who is flexible and adaptable and equally at ease covering daily news stories, enterprise stories, and breaking news. The correspondent will be responsible for covering stories in their home base city and the corresponding geographic region. Assignments will also often include responding to and covering major breaking news elsewhere throughout the country, international travel is a possibility as well. The role is based in Phoenix, Arizona with frequent travel.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Must be an excellent live performer able to report from the field or in the studio

• Must have the ability to pitch and cover stories from bureau city and the encompassing a geographic region

• Must also have the ability to pitch and turn enterprise reporting/stories

• Crisply, clearly and concisely report on news of day or breaking news stories

• Work in concert with a producer and photographer to produce content for both broadcast and digital platforms

• Develop and maintain strong contacts and relationships with sources

• Work with management to enterprise and develop stories

• Demonstrate compelling storytelling using compelling scripting, dynamic live shots and stand-ups, creative graphics

• Performs other duties as assigned by management

Requirements & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in communications/journalism or related degree required (equivalent years of experience may substitute for education)

• Five to ten years television anchoring or reporting experience required

• Solid vocal delivery, camera presence, and clear enunciation

• Strong reporting skills

• Strong writing and scripting skills

• Promotes teamwork and maintains attitude of cooperation with all network personnel

• Strong organizational, and people skills are a must

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work under deadline pressure

• Must be able to work varied shifts: nights, overnights, or early mornings

• Ability to travel for work, often with no prior notice

• Must have a valid driver's license as driving will often be required

• Must include a link to online reel when applying

Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
