THE ROLE : The National Account Manager will be responsible for training, onboarding and processes for all levels of local Outside Sales Representatives (OSR) within a specific region. In this role, the incumbent will also need to be available to assist customers with their Xylem product selection and availability, order entry, regional contractor visits with local team, product delivery and return and invoicing.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Conduct training with new and existing Outside Sales Representatives.

  • Assist in reviewing, developing & improving regional commercial projects and ensuring operational procedures and standardizing process.

  • Responsible for managing large projects and engineered to order projects throughout the region.

  • Manage the training, onboarding, and processes for all levels of local Outside Sales Representative (OSR) within a specific region.

  • Provide training, support, and act as a backup with order management & order entry of Distribution sales along for market verticals such as mining.

  • Collaborate with peer Regional team members members to manage and develop new processes & procedures to roll out to the branches.

  • Travel to physically support various branch locations during employee training and onboarding, throughout the region as needed.

  • Serve as a back-up to perform sales activities within pre determined branches with lack of sales performance or open sales positions.

  • Support Service Center Managers in identifying branch sales opportunities and reporting accuracies.

  • Manage inbound large project requests, online inquiries and job site walks.

  • As needed, process customer requests such as rental quote generation and order placement over the phone, in person or via e-mail.

  • Answer routine product questions and direct questions to appropriate service or sales personnel when necessary.

  • Participate and attend tradeshows throughout the region as needed,

  • Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification :

  • High school graduate: 2- or 4-year college graduate preferred.

  • 2+ years’ experience in an operations environment with focus on supply and demand.

  • Prior experience in a rental environment preferred.

  • Solid math skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently with initiative.

  • Resourceful and well organized; efficient and detail oriented

  • Ability to adapt to frequent change in a high-pressure environment.

  • Strong sense of responsibility and desire to complete tasks properly.

  • Willingness and ability to always provide superior customer support, always keeping the customer experience as the top priority.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with customers, coworkers, and management team

  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the use of computer applications.

  • Knowledge of all required systems (e.g., multiple ERP systems) and products.

  • Forklift certification preferred.

DAY IN THE LIFE :

Physical Demands:

  • Heavy lifting of up to 25 pounds.

  • Must be able to obtain DOT certification, valid driver’s license, and good history (if service vehicle is required)

  • Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, bend and move about the facility or customer job site.

  • Regularly required to listen, talk to, and see employees and customers on a daily basis.

  • General office environment and use of phone and computer equipment.

  • Travel as required to fulfill the duties listed above or as required by the Company.

  • Standard weekly job hours: 40 hours

SALARY :

Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. Salary range:

$70,500.00 - $126,500.00
