Mechanical Engineer V Location: Redmond (onsite) Duration: 6 months Description: Duties: Design, manufacture, and assemble prototypes of soft wearable electronic devices Apply sound engineering and design principles for manufacturing of Client sensor integrations in wearable electronics Communicate with vendors on DFM and Manufacturing of designs for prototype builds Collaborate with researchers and engineers to rapidly prototype hardware solutions, iterate, and run experiments. Skills : Must Haves : BS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in building hardware prototypes, preferably in wearable consumer electronics, or a similar field Experience with 3D modeling software (Siemens NX or similar) Experience with FPC/PCB integration Experience in consumer electronics Nice to Haves : Knowledge of Camera integration/Optics Hands-on prototyping with molding and casting of elastomers or industrial processes such as Liquid Injection Molding.
