The Manager, Real Estate is responsible for the execution of real estate transactions across a large portfolio of BrandSafway properties, primarily in North America. It is an active, hands-on role requiring contact with vendors, field locations, and corporate departments.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Manage assigned property transactions, including new leases, relocations, renewals, etc.

  • Oversee the deal process, from the initial need through execution, coordinating closely with other team members as required. (Legal, Construction, Lease Admin, 3rd Party Partners, etc.)

  • Develop deal approval content, including cash-flow and P&L analyses, to enable thoughtful approval decisions by leadership.

  • Participate in the development and execution of footprint strategies, and in client and executive report-outs related to active & upcoming transactions.

  • Nurture relationships with Division partners, to ensure timely and thoughtful involvement in decisions which could impact our footprint.

  • Coordinate closely with Lease Accounting and Division Finance leaders on assigned properties/transactions.

  • Support M&A deals as required, during diligence and/or integration.

  • Provide support for any other real estate-related needs.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university.

  • Background in the management of commercial real estate.

  • Client-side experience preferred.

  • Industrial property experience preferred.

  • 5+ years related experience.

  • Budgeting experience necessary.

  • Licensed Real Estate professional preferred.

  • Familiar with commercial property leases.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Motivated and a self-starter.

  • Strong communication & negotiation skills.

  • Analytical Skills:superior problem-solving ability; ability to analyze qualitative data; exceptional analytical, statistical, quantitative, and deduction skills.

  • Language Skills:ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural, multinational environment and mobilize cross-functional high-performance teams. Spanish or French as a second language would be ideal but not required.

  • Computer Skills:advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills; comfort with other Microsoft applications; familiarity with CoStar and other Real Estate applications.
