Responsibilities

Summary :Frontdoor, Inc. is looking for a Lead People Technology Analyst who will be responsible for serving as a thought partner within the People Team to provide collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical thinking to develop solutions across Frontdoor’s people technology landscape. You will work cross-functionally to understand requirements, assess for downstream impacts, and complete configuration plans in Workday. You will use your advanced Workday knowledge to offer solutions that support business processes with a focus on optimizing employee experience and streamlining existing processes. This hands-on role will provide configuration support in Workday and other people technologies and will have a sound techno-functional understanding of the various domains of Human Resources, human capital management, and business. The successful individual will be able to break down complex technical concepts and provide business-side collaboration to support Frontdoor’s immediate and long-term people technology strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as an advanced subject matter expert within Workday.

  • Help support our Workday roadmap and optimization strategy by building streamlined and effective solutions that enable key people initiatives.

  • Partner with people team leadership and functional teams to provide input into new processes, prioritize projects/enhancements, map business processes, and implement creative and effective solutions that will shape the way Frontdoor operates now and into the future.

  • Support Workday release management, review release summaries, and release readiness documents from solution vendors. Identify enhancement solutions and impacts to downstream systems.

  • Partner with business functions to understand and interpret reporting requirements. Identify additional needs based on analysis of requirements.

  • Provide highly complex HR metrics and reporting deliverables: development and delivery of reports, dashboards, scorecards, ad hoc reports, etc.

  • Acts as a subject matter expert to provide meaningful interpretation of HR metrics to foster a deeper understanding of workforce data and its impact on business results.

  • Aggregate sensitive HR data and produce standard, actionable HR reports and dashboards for use by HR teams, people leaders, and executives of the organization.

  • Run and distribute highly complex scheduled reports and support business requests for ad hoc report generation.

  • Ensure dashboard, reporting, and embedded analytics support HR security and access protocols.

  • Educate and promote self-service reporting functionality with end users by utilizing various communication and training methodologies.

  • Conducts various data audits, including running ad hoc reports which aim to maintain data integrity, and troubleshoot systems or data issues.

  • Develops and generates complex HR/SOX compliance-specific queries and reports as needed.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide recommendations for system enhancements

  • Identify test scenarios, develop test scripts, and execute testing in support of system and user acceptance testing.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements, translate requirements into system configurations and enhancements, and ensure successful implementation.

  • Analyze errors and utilize resources such as Workday community to drive resolutions and root cause analysis.

  • Oversee the tracking of requests and issues throughout the department; periodically analyze the data to identify trends; and report findings and recommendations to management for improvement.

  • Coaches and mentors HR Technology Analysts and other HR team members – sharing Workday expertise.

  • Stay up to date with Workday trends and developments, attending training and conferences as necessary to maintain subject matter expertise

  • May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes and data.

  • Demonstrated ability to extract, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources; experienced with HR applications and data structures.

  • Experience with Workday EIBs.

  • Strong analytical skills. Quantitative background/experience preferred.

  • Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.

  • Able to anticipate, draw conclusions, and adapt to changing needs as well as engage with business partners across multiple functional areas to gather, clarify, and document requirements.

  • Ability to earn and keep the confidence of stakeholders.

  • Proven record of accomplishment prioritizing and handling multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and a strong sense of accountability.

  • Willingness and passion to learn additional Workday modules and other people-related technologies and platforms.

  • Must be flexible, positive under pressure, and can readily adapt to change.

  • Must possess communication skills suited to a wide variety of audiences in both written and verbal capacities.

  • Multi-site experience is a must; experience supporting and working in a remote environment is preferred.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and demonstrated ability with other MS Office Applications.

Physical Role Requirements :Be seated at a computer intermittently for up to eight hours a day. Move up to 10 pounds occasionally, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Sitting for long periods while using office equipment such as computers and phones. Repetitive motions using hands and digits, such as movement of wrists, hands, and fingers while picking, pinching, and typing during your normal working environment.

Minimum Education, Licensure and Professional Certification requirements: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Workday Partner or Pro certification(s) strongly desired.

Minimum Experience required :7+ years of relevant experience in the HR field required, preferably with an emphasis in HR technology. 5+ years of direct Workday experience, with configuration knowledge of 2 or more Workday modules including HCM, Advanced Compensation, Performance & Talent Management, Reporting & Integrations, Security, Benefits, Payroll, or Time Tracking required.

Other/State Specific

This role pays between $88,700 to $130,300, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.
