You will be responsible for identifying, developing and executing opportunities in the UK focussing on Behind-the-Meter (‘BtM’) and Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (CPPA).
Your can-do attitude will be instrumental in the success of Aggreko Energy Services (AES). Aggreko has a significant existing customer base which you will leverage for BtM opportunities to assist them in their respective journeys along the energy transition. As the Lead Originator you will own the external customer relationship as it moves from your initial discussion right the way through to first power, to do this you will work closely with your colleagues in the commercial, development and regulatory teams.
Responsibilities
Originate opportunities for AES to deploy its BtM and Front-of-Meter (FoM) capabilities in the UK market
Provide continuous high quality feedback from customers on AES’ offering
Support the Commercial Manager and AES legal to structure Heads of Terms (‘HoTs’) and ultimately Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to capture best value for AES and its customers
Proactively stay up to speed with competitor offerings, market dynamics and new solutions to ensure AES leads in the energy services space
Support the wider AES strategy as it grows into new markets and technologies.
Own the relationship with potential BtM customers and respond quickly to queries as they arise, close out actions and ensure opportunities are readily converted into signed agreements
Key performance indicators
Work with wider Aggreko teams to produce a high quality prospect list with logical sequencing of when approaches are targeted to be made
Record all contact made to produce a rich dataset of existing, future and failed opportunities
Build a team (where necessary) to speed up the roll out as AES’ capability grows
Convert opportunities to signed HoTs in a timely manner
Develop the origination function to target non-Aggreko customers, for example via informal or formal partnerships
Location: Remote based, must be willing to travel in UK (notably London) and European trips as required
What we’re looking for
Extensive experience of the UK renewable energy market origination
Proven track record of converting opportunities into delivered projects
Familiarity with negotiating complex long term contracts, often with multiparty scenarios
Ability to identify and reconcile business and customer needs in order to build bespoke products and develop current AES offering
Familiarity in the day-to-day management of PPAs/CPPAs, including risk management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to present high value contract opportunities to the wider AES team.
