It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remotely for three (3) or more days a week and will share a hoteling workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

About This Role:

About the Role:

As the Lead Capacity Engineer, you will play a critical role on our Site Reliability Engineering team, ensuring our IT infrastructure and application scale is equipped to handle both present and future demands. Your role will involve tracing workflows across service layers, conducting thorough analyses, and leveraging forecasting techniques to recommend optimal capacity levels. Your insights will directly inform decision-making for application teams, infrastructure teams, and IT leadership, spanning various environments such as cloud platforms, data centers, and network resources.

Responsibilities:

· Design and build capacity planning models, dashboards, and tools to support data-driven decision making.

· Identify capacity-related issues proactively and work with systems, network, application operations and engineering teams to correct proactive resolutions.

· Analyze and forecast IT resource consumption trends to proactively identify and address capacity shortfalls.

· Develop and implement capacity management strategies to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency.

· Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

· Stay up-to-date on the latest capacity management technologies and best practices.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· 10+ years of experience in performance software engineering and/or infrastructure.

· Proven experience in analyzing and forecasting IT resource consumption trends.

· Proven experience with highly redundant and scalable application architecture designs and concepts.

· Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. a plus).

· Experience with capacity management tools and methodologies (e.g., AWS Capacity Management, CA Capacity Management, OpenStack Cloud Capacity Planning).

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Experience working with cross-functional teams

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in utilizing infrastructure capacity management tools and navigating related processes.

• Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure operations with a strong technical acumen in infrastructure systems.

• Proven track record of tackling ambiguous challenges and effectively managing uncertainty.

• Proven track record in FinTech, showcasing adeptness in managing and accurately predicting costs.
