IT Support Specialist Location: Novi, MI Duration: Fulltime Description: Position Description and Qualifications: The IT Support Specialist position administers the day-to-day operations for all computer systems to include configuring user devices: computers, phones, tablets, and other electronic devices. Place orders for hardware/software requests and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer systems. Assists in maintaining servers/network systems Required skills and education requirements: Bachelor's degree computer Science, Information Systems or related computer science discipline and/or 3+ years of experience, or equivalent. Have a solid understanding of troubleshooting computer hardware and software on both windows 10/11 operating systems and various server platforms and installation of new software/software update packages. Knowledge/ability to manage and monitor software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor agreements. Manage and troubleshoot cloud applications (M365/oracle) for user access and resource issues. Knowledge of back-up systems to ensure recovery in case of hardware failure. The candidate should be detailed, process oriented, highly accountable with good people skills to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred skills / experience: Bachelor's degree computer Science, Information Systems or related computer science discipline, understanding operating systems, networking fundamentals and of scripting languages. Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or Comp TIA A+ Certification, SharePoint Administration. Automotive industry experience and bilingual (English-Japanese) also a plus Education: Minimum of Associates degree in Computer Science / Cyber Security or related IT field.
