JOB SUMMARY

ORR Protection Systems is currently seeking to hire an Inventory Control Analyst to support both its Operations and Field Service Management Team. The Inventory Control Analyst plays a key role in the planning of daily and strategic inventory processes, including analyzing inventory trends at a national and local warehouse levels to forecast critical min/max inventory levels, identifying functionally obsolete / at risk inventory, and providing recommendations to support consolidation and just in time delivery of critical parts. The Inventory Control Analyst will serve as the inventory process leader for this business unit. They will be expected to provide enhanced focus on the existing processes and must be able to apply conceptual knowledge of the supply chain process to implement solutions which drive efficiency in both the physical movement of goods and interface points within ORR's existing software network. This role will engage user's at all levels and should have exceptional communication, documentation, and feedback skills. Position can be remote reporting relationship, but potential travel of up to 20% is expected. Ideal candidate location is near one of our physical offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops End to End Field Service & ERP applications-centric Inventory Management processes and controls.

  • Ensure office administrators and technicians have the ability to order, receive, and consume parts efficiently.

  • Reduce Expense type, Non-PO based, and Non-Stock Part Fulfillment.

  • Increase the accuracy and reporting of inventory, including non-compliance tracking and control measures.

  • Support the identification of obsolete and slow turning inventory.

  • Decrease the amount of inventory which is left un-invoiced, despite its consumption during inspections and installations.

  • Support visibility to vendor part returns and return opportunities which are at risk of not being realized.

  • Oversees process creation and compliance related to warehouse management activities, including the intake, storage, and distribution of parts.

  • Analyze inventory levels and logistics, with the goal of reducing inventory levels while meeting lead-time requirements.

  • Leverages statistical analysis to maintain proper min / max inventory levels at national, site, and van warehouse locations.

  • Works alongside Procurement and Operation teams to create processes which support diverse replenishment strategies (Drop Ship, Vendor Managed stock, Blanket Agreements, ORR Local Warehouse vs. National Warehouse, etc.).

  • Works alongside Procurement, Engineering, and Operation teams in reviewing Item Master accuracy (actively manages controls which will support the identification of obsolete or inactive parts, and the creation of new parts within Item Master database).

  • Supports end-users with troubleshooting and oversees documentation and employee training related to inventory management.

  • Inventory SME: key player in supporting software system patches and upgrades. Supports planning, testing, implementing and documentation of any system change related to inventory management.

  • Coordinates semi-annual inventory counts and reconciliations.

  • Coordinates Reorder Point process and fulfillment.

  • Develops system generated management reports.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year degree in business related studies preferred or equivalent experience, enabling the successful execution of essential functions.

  • Two plus years’ experience in an inventory management or supply chain environment.

  • ERP implementation experience a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize to meet strict deadlines.

  • Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.

  • Solid MS or Google Office skills

  • Basic knowledge of Logistics, Materials Management and Inventory Control.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to work and be productive in team oriented environment and culture.

  • Remote position with occasional travel to corporate or Branch offices.

  • 20% travel required.
