Summary About the Position: Jacksonville is the largest city in the state of Florida by population and the largest city by area in the continental United States. Located on the banks of the St. Johns River, about 25 miles south of Georgia the beach communities are along the adjacent Atlantic coast. Responsibilities Serve as a Senior Project Manager for execution of planning, design, construction and operation phases of various and diverse Ecosystem Restoration projects within the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration (SFER) program. Develop project scope, schedule, budgets, reports, and project changes to ensure the project is executed within scope and schedule and in accordance with the Project Delivery Business Process (PDBP) Represent the District Engineer and Deputy for Programs and Project Management when dealing with the local, state and municipal authorities for the project; is responsible for furnishing authoritative responses to project questions and issues. Provide tactical leadership, problem solving and direction to Project Delivery Team members on project-specific issues, address issues at the lowest level and keep supervisory chain and customers informed in a timely manner. Provide accurate and timely data to include monthly meeting notes, weekly notes, data calls and assure project schedules are updated monthly. Communicate and interact with both internal and external customers, stakeholders in sharing of lessons learned, process improvements and issue resolution as applicable. Ensure that assigned tasks, suspenses, and inquiries are responded to in accordance with identified suspense dates.
