Summary
The HR Shared Services Representative provides a full range of general administration support for the daily operations of the Human Resources department. This position will support ongoing HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Performance and Benefit Administration in partnership with external third-party vendor where applicable. The position will evolve to include a wide spectrum of general associate and leader support.

Responsibilities
Provide high-level customer service by responding to written and oral inquiries from associates, managers, retirees, family members regarding HR questions, issues, problems and status changes; this will include telephone, chat and email interactions.
Administer and coordinate benefit related programs including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, STD, LTD, COBRA, etc.
Troubleshooting employee questions received through the HR Shared Services Center, using critical analysis and problem solving to resolve the issue before escalating or routing to another department.
The areas of human resources of first level support for which this role may be responsible include, but are not limited to:
Point of contact for questions such as medical leave of absence, benefit matters, and associate policies and programs and escalating as appropriate.
Assist with data entry/maintenance of employee data or benefit enrollments in HRIS system as needed.
Assist with Open Enrollment data entry processing.
May assist with onboarding and new hire orientation as needed.
Interface with internal and external resources to furnish or obtain needed information.
Support those enrolled in the benefit plans by resolving claim issues. Educate associates of their benefit options and eligibility through new hire orientation.
Maintain knowledge database and escalate trending issues to the appropriate levels.
Exercise good judgment to resolve issues within scope at level 1, using discretion when escalating to next levels for resolution.
Seek out and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Future focus for this role will be an increased responsibilities to include first level associate support including the following areas: HR Operations, Talent Management, HR Systems, Payroll, etc.
Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Associate degree is preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
2+ years of Human Resources or customer service-related experience. Associate degree in lieu of years of experience is acceptable.
Must be PC/Internet proficient and experienced with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Experience with ServiceNow, SuccessFactors and HCM systems is preferred.
Excellent customer service, time management, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a pleasant, professional demeanor both face-to-face and on the phone.
Strong attention to detail and proven work ethic. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated/directed.
Must be able to handle multiple priorities, interruptions, sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to leadership.

Office and Apparel Manufacturing Environment
On-Site location: Associate will work on-site for all work-related activities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, talk and hear.
The employee will frequently use hands to operate phone and computer and is occasionally required to stand.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
