Summary: Briefly state the primary purpose of the job. This position is responsible for the administration of The Hershey Company’s severance plan, separation agreements, general releases, repayment agreements, and other program administration. Also, this position is a subject matter expert for HR reporting to provide on time and reliable data to stakeholders for decision making. Major Duties/Responsibilities: Identify the major duties/responsibilities of the job. List the percentage of the incumbent's time that will be spent on each major duty/responsibility. Severance Plan Administration (US/Canada Salaried) Administer Hershey’s severance plans, separation agreements, and general releases, including plan interpretation, preparation of the legal agreements, benefit compliance, coordination of data entry and SAP processing, lump sum and bonus calculations and payments and coordination of career transition services. Work with Total Rewards for the submission of equity proration adjustments to Fidelity. Responsible for project management/process optimization for large scale reductions in force Coordination of career transition services Assist with the administration of the Executive Benefits Protection Plans Serve as subject matter expert on severance administration for participants, managers, myHR, HR Consultants, and the Executive Compensation, Total Rewards, Finance, Payroll, Investor Relations, Tax, Global Mobility, and Law Departments Serve as lead on group voluntary/involuntary severance projects as needed. Assist with internal/external auditor and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requests and proactively ensures data integrity. Provide financial and other reporting on severance administration. Participate on various work teams examining the enhancement of programs, procedures, policies, processes, workflows, automation related to severances and separation agreements. Provide ongoing support to former employees/retirees by answering simple to complex questions related to severance. Coordinate with Payroll for severance payout process to adhere to specific state pay guidelines. Provide support to HR Support Center for Tier 2 tickets related to the severance process. Edit and maintain severance SharePoint files. HR Reporting Create reports from both Employee Central and SAP HR and utilize SAP tools such as pivot tables, v lookups and logic statements to provide requested information. Escalate corrections for data in Employee Central and or SAP HR on incorrect data found while conducting reports to the correct teams Repayment Agreement Administration/Employee Relations Administration Responsible for administration of repayment agreements for tuition reimbursement, overpayments, sign-on bonuses, retention bonuses, anniversary bonuses, in-lieu of bonuses, commuting allowance, relocation, special awards, and credit card balances for guaranteed cards that are past due. Vacation donation administration Return of property letters Retail sales termination letters and template for managers Monitoring of resignations. 5. 5% Special Projects As assigned by Manager or HRSD priorities Severances and Separation Agreements US and Canada Strong knowledge of SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP HR, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and SharePoint Strong leadership/facilitation skills. Ability to build relationships and influence change Effective project management skills Experience in data collection and analysis Must be inquisitive and process oriented Ability to interpret documentation in relation to severances and equity Strong customer service skills accompanied with excellent communication skills High level of integrity and ability to deal with confidential information Ability to work outside of standard working hours as required Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Be specific about years of experience, special training, applicable degree (or critical college level courses), as well as equivalency to education and experience. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related discipline or related experience. Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years of professional level experience in HR is required Prior experience in benefits, compensation, or employee relations preferred.
