For your consideration: Our Health & Safety Management team is seeking a talented and experienced individual to ensure the safety of our workplaces and associates, including office environments, datacenters, printing facilities, traveling employees, and remote workers. Responsibilities include OSHA regulatory compliance, leading CPR trainings, conducting safety audits, managing risk assessments, incident investigations, environmental impact assessments, and employee training programs, as well as assisting with updates to our corporate injury and illness prevention plan.

This position can be based to work out of any Jack Henry office or remotely from any US location. Salary range for this position is $51-79k, depending on candidate experience and geographic location.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, DOT, Dept. of Health).

  • Assists in the tracking and analysis of workplace safety and health statistics and makes recommendations for correction of problem areas.

  • Keeps abreast of safety and health industry best practices, and technological developments and equipment to remain up-to-date on safety and health systems, devices and techniques designed to eliminate or minimize hazards.

  • Participates in regular inspections and audits to ensure continued compliance and the safest work environment for all, as well as assisting with analysis of the data to determine leading risk indicators.

  • Assists in the development, implementation, and administration of policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as company guidelines.

  • Ensures accurate collection and submission of data for Tier II reporting.

  • Conducts ergonomic evaluations of employee workstations and makes recommendations based on sound ergonomic guidelines and program parameters.

  • Ensures timely reporting, handling, filing and investigation of all workers’ compensation and automobile claims occurring with JH employees or property. Manages cases using internal, insurance and regulatory reporting systems and apply cost containment measures as necessary.

  • Assists in conducting training for both current and new hire employees when necessary.

  • Assists in the evaluation of ergonomic assessments and reviews data to drive ergonomic risks to their lowest possible levels.

  • May perform other job duties as assigned.

    What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in occupational health, safety, and environmental roles.

  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

  • Experience reporting to state and federal agencies.

  • Certified CPR instructor or ability to become one within 6 months of hire.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% for site visits and trainings.

    What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • Proficiency in health and safety management program development.

  • Experience working in environments with industrial equipment.

  • Professional safety certification (e.g. CSP, ASP, CHST).
