HashiCorp Group Manager, Marketing PMO in United States

About the role:

The Marketing Operations PMO team is a newly formed function whose mission is to develop scalable, repeatable practices that amplify the efficacy of the HashiCorp Marketing team. This position will have a core role in developing what a COE (center of excellence) looks like within HashiCorp marketing. The Group Manager will be responsible for leading the team of program managers within Marketing as they support Marketing’s core programs. Additionally, the Group Manager will govern the inputs from outside of Marketing from R&D and go-to-market and serve as PM for all cross-company programs, or triage among the PMs as necessary. Responsibilities:

  • Establish operational objectives (KPIs), policies, procedures, and work plans and delegates assignments to direct reports, including an existing team of PMs

  • Drive the operational strategy and success of larger programs which touch multiple departments within the organization

  • Discover, assess and triage all PMO support requests

  • Rhythm of the business support inside of Product Marketing (PMM) including All Hands, budget management and monthly reporting

  • Cross-departmental program management support including: Marketing needs from R&D (product, engineering, design) and WWFO (sales, solutions engineering, value engineering). Sample programs include but are not limited to:

  • Sales Kickoff bill of materials

  • Positioning and messaging build and refresh

  • Materials produced for the WWFO by PMM

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in an Operations focused role, preferably in Marketing

  • 4+ years of experience managing others

  • PMP (or other relevant operational certification) preferred

  • Expert‐level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, processes (e.g., Project and Portfolio Management Methodology – PPM)

  • Experience with budget creation and management at a departmental level

  • Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders and workstreams with competing priorities to an on-time delivery

  • Experience working with all corners of the business (from product teams, sales / field organizations, marketing teams, G&A, etc) in an operational capacity

  • Proven ability to distill complex ideas into succinct and practical plans

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, matrixed environment

  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills

  • Experience with Asana, Jira, GSuite, Canva, Figma, Slack with an ability to learn new software quickly

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:

$173,400—$204,000 USD

The base pay range for this role in Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, New York (excluding NYC), Washington D.C., or California (excluding SF Bay Area) is:

$159,000—$187,000 USD

The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro) and Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:

$144,500—$170,000 USD
