The Difference You Will Make

STERIS is looking to hire a Financial Analyst, APAC in Singapore! You will be joining the dynamic and close-knitted APAC Regional Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager, you will support the FP&A team in both Australia and Singapore to ensure full understanding of APAC business results, working with the in-country Finance Controllers to ensure accuracy of reporting data and to support continued profit and productivity improvement for the business. This position will also, together with rest of the Regional Finance team, be responsible for the monthly management reporting, forecasts and annual budget process.

What You Will Do

This is an individual contributor position in the APAC Regional Finance team, reporting to the FP&A Manager in Australia and based out of the APAC office in Singapore.

This position is critical to support the FP&A team in both Australia and Singapore to ensure full understanding of APAC business results, working with the in-country Finance Controllers to ensure accuracy of reporting data and to support continued profit and productivity improvement for the business. This position will also, together with rest of the Regional Finance team, be responsible for the monthly management reporting, forecasts and annual budget process.

Duties

  1. Participate in the annual Plan and quarterly forecasting process., coordinate between APAC country & functional leaders and Finance team, prepares data to support projections, and input data into budgetary system to ensure Plan / forecast is reported correctly within the financial reporting system.

  2. Prepares monthly management reports and drive monthly business reviews with commercial team. Measure actual performance results against forecast/plan and identify issues that require further action. Highlight areas of business unit underperformance.

  3. Partners with corporate accounting and business finance team and provide meaningful insights on APAC results.

  4. Consolidate data to identify trends, cost drivers and other key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the business.

  5. Assists in preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis to support senior management decisions

  6. Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year end financial close processes in accordance with Corporate guidelines and policies.

  7. Support the design, development, deployment, maintenance and streamlining of all internal reports.

  8. Support the creation, calculation and analysis of sales compensation plans, including monthly achievement monitoring and communication with country leaders.

  9. Assist with acquisition, project work and other ad-hoc duties as required.

What You Will Bring

3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience as well as following:

Essential Requirements:

• Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance disciplines from a recognized university as well as professional accounting degree such as CA, ACCA, CIMA.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) as well as US GAAP.

• Broad knowledge of corporate income and indirect tax, tax accounting and reporting.

• Good commercial sense with keen understanding of business dynamics.

• APAC exposure in an MNC environment preferred.

• Good understanding and experience with ERP systems.

• Process oriented, detailed and meticulous.

• Hands-on and “can do” attitude.

• Good communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
