Job Description

Under the supervision of the Accreditation and Curriculum Manager, the Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator supports the agency by coordinating the agency course evaluation and assessment processes. Acts as a subject matter expert and liaison for internal and external personnel. Responsible for working with divisional stakeholders to develop, implement, and maintain procedures as well as track and report findings.

This position reports to the Accreditation and Curriculum Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (equivalency: will consider an Associate’s degree with six years of evaluation monitoring and development and developing and analyzing student assessment experience or a High School Diploma/GED with eight years of evaluation monitoring and development and developing and analyzing student assessment experience)

  • Four years of related experience in evaluation monitoring and development, developing and analyzing student assessments, or a related field.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Knowledge of online survey methodology and Qualtrics.

  • Experience working with learning management systems and assessment software.

  • Two or more years of program coordination experience.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

  • Ability to regularly use computer/keyboard daily.

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office environment.

  • Ability to travel independently to remote locations by driving and/or flying on commercial airlines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 application suite.

  • Advanced knowledge of data collection and analysis software (i.e., PowerBI, Qualtrics) and ability to learn new software or interface.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; competent in proofreading and editing written communications.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of online survey methodology and program evaluation.

  • Knowledge of Bloom’s Taxonomy, instructional design models, adult learning principles, and/or accessibility.

  • Positive attitude and the ability to work with different personalities; ability to create a positive working environment for team members.

  • Ability to provide customer-friendly service to both internal and external customers. 

  • Ability to maintain accurate records, work with sensitive information, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to address concerns and communicate business procedures, expectations, and best practices relating to evaluation and assessment.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Ability to coordinate and lead meetings, plan project timelines, and coordinate multiple detail-oriented projects simultaneously with a proactive approach to problem mitigation.

  • Ability to write technical documents and reports and interpret technical information.

  • Works well under tight deadlines.

  • As part of TEEX’s mission of providing training, developing practical solutions, and saving lives; this position could be required, if called upon, to deploy within the State of Texas as directed by this position’s Division Director/HQ Department Head.

  • Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving a personal or TEEX vehicle and/or flying on commercial airlines.

  • This position allows telecommuting per TEEX guidelines and as approved by manager/department.

Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:

Agency Evaluation Coordination - 45%

  • Works closely with the Accreditation and Curriculum Manager to establish priority of evaluation-related projects.

  • Facilitates workgroups to develop and maintain various agency course evaluations (e.g., Kirkpatrick Level 1 evaluation, Kirkpatrick Level 3 evaluation, vocational-specific surveys, employer surveys, etc.)

  • Assists with establishing, implementing, and maintaining appropriate course evaluation procedures and guidelines that meet division and/or agency-level requirements.

  • Supports divisions in the administration of course evaluations, analysis of data, and communication of findings.

  • Serves as an agency resource for Qualtrics to include creation of customized surveys.

  • Provides analysis and reporting as required by agency and division leadership.

Agency Assessment Coordination - 45%

  • Provides support to Accreditation and Curriculum Manager with appropriate course assessment procedures and guidelines that meet division and/or agency-level requirements.

  • Supports divisions in the creation, revision, and analysis of course assessments.

  • Trains agency personnel in assessment procedures, guidelines, and best practices, such as assessment methods and interpretation of results.

  • Facilitates workgroups on various assessment topics to improve effectiveness of course assessments procedures and guidelines.

Additional Program Responsibilities - 10%

  • Actively participates in team meetings and events.

  • Participates in institutional service roles such as communities of practice, committees, or other work groups, as needed or required.

  • Develops and maintains procedure documentation for position.

  • Performs additional work duties as assigned.
