POSITION SUMMARY:

The Electrical Tech will take part in electrical system implementation phase of the New Product Development (NPD) process in the electrical system release process. This position will also work closely with the production line on electrical issues as they arise and assist manufacturing engineering on any electrical changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Tests electrical appliances to collect data for use in system designs.

  • Works with team members to implement electrical system designs.

  • Must be able to read electrical system schematics and blueprints.

  • Conducts bench top electrical tests to collect data.

  • Works with Electrical Engineering to develop electrical systems.

  • Uses electrical tools such as Multi-Meters and Power Supplies to troubleshoot electrical issues.

  • Participates in design reviews.

  • Works with cross-functional team members.

  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Preferred Degree: Trade, Tech or Vocational Education in Electrical technology

  • Certificate(s) or License(s):

  • Years of experience: 3 to 5 years preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Outlook a must, Teams experience a plus

  • Ability to work independently and with Cross-Functional Teams

  • 2D and 3D CAD Programs such as AutoCAD, Zuken E3, and Catia/3DX preferred

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Technician or in a similar role.

  • Proficient in the use of electrical diagnostic tools and equipment.

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and circuitry.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position is located at the White River Manufacturing facility within the office and manufacturing environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks, sits, and works with computers.

Occasionally stands.

Ability to work in various conditions including office environments, manufacturing floors, and lab settings.

Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.

Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds occasionally.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT :

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
