Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a District Sales Manager to join the North American Electrical Wiring Systems (EWS) Team. The ideal candidate would be located in southern Connecticut, New York or New Jersey.

The District Sales Manager is responsible for leading marketing initiatives and selling activities for the Electrical Wiring Systems (EWS) product lines in NY and NJ area to our channel

partners. This position will focus on closely leading our agents to increase mindshare and drive collaborative growth.

The District Sales manager will be responsible for reaching district and organization goals for sales growth and profitability through market development, managing the sales lifecycle, as well as Developing relationships with external and internal customers to maximize communication from the field throughout the Legrand organization.

This position is accountable to organize, direct, and coordinate sales personnel within ED channel to ensure sales goals are met and/or exceeded for all product families.

Main Job Duties:

  • Develop salespeople within the district to maximize sales effort at distribution, specifying community and end users.

  • Develop relationships with external and internal customers.

  • Review sales and margin figures for territories. Maintain training level of salespeople for products and best business practices.

  • Develop Territory Business Plans and Key Account Business Planning sessions to develop territory sales plan and objectives for assigned territories and present to Regional Vice President for approval.

  • Implement established sales plans and strategies to promote growth in district.

  • Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve solutions and strategies

  • Collaborate with market development group, demand creation team, as well as strategic account sales teams to develop growth strategies and coordinate relationships between targeted end users, and channel partners.

  • Performs other similar and related duties as required

Qualifications

Education: Four year college degree, MBA preferred, in Business or Marketing.

OR

Experience: 6 years working experience within the electrical distribution industry to include specific experience supervising sales people.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Ability to communicate with people at all levels of a business unit. Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire, and coach sales representatives to success. Leadership and supervisory skills.
