New Leaders Director, Talent Acquisition in United States

Position D etails

The Director , T alent Acquisition will be based out of a home office location located anywhere within the contiguous United States (Pacific, Mountain, Central, and Eastern time zones) or United States territories that fall within the Atlantic time zone.

Position Overview

T he Director , Talent Acquisition (“Director”) execute s New Leaders ’ talent acquisition strategy in order to attract, select , and hir e top-tier talent. T he Director will cultivate internal and external relationships, manage talent acquisition systems and processes, analyze data to inform decisions , and implement strategies to fortify and expand New Leaders’ talent acquisition capabilities, ensuring its sustainability and effectiveness.

The Director , Talent Acquisition reports to the Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel.

Specific Responsibilities

Position Tracking and Development: Implement the organization's processes for monitoring new and vacant positions, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure accurate job description creation in alignment with organizational needs.

  • Vacancy Tracking : T rack and report o n vacant positions, coordinating with Finance, Technology, and Human Resources (HR) teams to facilitate financial planning , new hire setups, and onboarding processes.

  • Job Description Development & Refinement: Work closely with hiring managers to craft and update job descriptions, ensuring they accurately reflect the roles' key responsibilities, skills, and competencies, catering to both new and revised positions .

    Sourcing Strategy Execution: I mplement comprehensive strategies for sourcing candidates for all vacancies, ensuring these strategies are closely aligned with New Leaders' objectives and capable of attracting top talent.

  • Organizational Goal Alignment: Gain a deep understanding of organizational goals to implement sourcing strategies effectively.

  • Channel Identification: Determine the most effective channels for executing sourcing strategies, including social media, employee referrals, outreach to the alumni network, job boards, industry networks, and events.

  • Job Marketing: E xecute job marketing strategies for both internal and external postings, ensuring budget considerations are accounted for with external efforts.

  • T alent Acquisition Practices Alignment: Execute Talent Acquisition practices aligned to New Leaders’ policies and culture, promoting a consistent and positive organizational image .

    Talent Pipeline Development: I mplement a comprehensive strategy to build and maintain a strong talent pipeline, ensuring a constant flow of high-quality candidates for key roles .

  • Candidate Pool Cultivation: Identify and nurture a diverse pool of potential candidates, keep ing these individuals engaged and prepared for future openings.

  • Marketing Collaboration: Coordinate with the Marketing Team to post open requisitions, enhancing the organization's visibility and attractiveness to potential candidates.

    Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Enhancement: Execute all facets of the recruitment lifecycle, enhancing efficiency from planning through execution to secure premier talent.

  • Process Refinement: Streamline interview, selection , and onboarding methodologies for heightened effectiveness.

  • Talent Sourcing Management: Manage job postings, candidate sourcing, and interviewing processes, and maintain an expansive candidate database for optimized talent acquisition.

  • Candidate and Stakeholder Engagement: Foster positive interactions across all recruitment stages, ensuring service excellence to candidates, hiring managers, and staff.

  • Innovative Recruitment Practices: Implement creative and innovative sourcing strategies to continually advance recruitment efforts.

  • Managerial Skill Development: Craft and provide training for hiring managers on interview and selection best practices.

  • Collaboration for Recruitment Efficiency: Partner with internal teams and other members of the HR team to enhance the recruitment workflow.

  • Comprehensive Staffing Oversight: Administer intern and temporary staffing logistics , including effective vendor relations.

  • Onboarding and Retention Approaches : Refine and implement engaging onboarding programs, in collaboration with hiring managers and the HR team , to bolster new hire retention.

  • System and Policy Optimization: Collaborate with the Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel to refine the Talent Acquisition framework, ensuring policy compliance, SOP enhancement, and the leveraging of data analytics for continuous improvement.

    Other duties as assigned.  

    Qualifications and Competencies

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Professional Experience: 7 years of professional experience required , with at least 3+ years in Talent Acquisition or similar roles .

  • Travel: Travel required on occasion aligned to New Leaders’ Travel and In-Person Activities policy.

The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $99,000. New hire salaries are generally at or close to the minimum of the range. Salaries vary based on geographical location. After submitting an application, candidates who move forward in the hiring process are provided with the salary for their geographical location. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible to participate in the New Leaders Health Benefits and Wellness Program, through which New Leaders offers two robust medical plan options, dental care, vision, and other benefits. New Leaders also offers a 401K plan for eligible employees and generous paid-time-off benefits. Employees may be eligible for merit awards, bonuses, and/or commissions depending on the role, organizational guidelines, and individual performance.

New Leaders requires each employee to be fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccination (i.e., at least two weeks have passed since the employee received the dose of a single-dose vaccine or the second dose of a two-dose vaccine with at least the minimum recommended interval between doses) or to obtain an approved exemption or reasonable accommodation through the Human Resources team within six weeks of their start date as a term and condition of employment.
