ManpowerGroup Director of Industrial Risk in United States

Manpower Engineering is partnering with a well-known building material manufacturing company that is seeking a Director of Industrial Risk to join their successful organization. This role will lead strategic initiatives and execute the Company's industrial risk, process safety, fire protection and life safety strategy to achieve their “Vision Zero”. The role will collaborate with other functions including but not limited to Research and Development, Engineering and Operations to execute the industrial risk strategy. This position will functionally partner with engineering teams to drive a systematic approach to address risk identification, mitigation, and management of safety solutions. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Environmental, Health, and Safety and have one direct report.

Job Title: Director of Industrial Risk

Location: United States

Pay Range: $180,000 - $200,000

What’s the Job?

  • Develop strategy, policies, requirements, standards, and tools to structurally implement and continuously improve process safety.

  • Establish organizational goals based on gap analysis, prioritize, develop projects to achieve goals and sustain compliance with internal and government regulations.

  • Identify and implement tools, methods, and key performance indicators to support and measure compliance with policies and progress against objectives of the risk management system.

  • Establish industrial management system processes specific to the company.

  • Inform and advise Senior Management regarding compliance status and issues, potential risks and liabilities, future impacts from new laws and rules, recommended actions and risk management strategy.

  • Embed a industrial risk process at facilities and develop local knowledge.

What’s Needed?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering or another engineering-related field with relevant experience.

  • Five+ years of experience in the management of others.

  • 10 years experience with emphasis on process safety management.

  • Five Years of combined experience performing risk assessments/analysis techniques such as: Process Hazard Assessment (PHA), Layers of Protection (LOPA), and Risk Assessments & Prioritization (RAP).

  • Experience and understanding of process engineering work such as safety relief demand scenarios.

  • Experience with chemical processing equipment and facilities.
