  • Salary Midpoint: $106,080.00 per year

Actual compensation offered will vary based on factors including applicable licenses, certifications, education, experience, location, qualifications and comparison with associates in similar roles.

Responsibilities

Oversee the completion and coordination of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments in compliance with federal and state regulations.

  • Serve as knowledge expert on Federal regulations, MDS User Manual standards related to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process including CMS coverage and payment methodologies, current Medicare/Medicaid regulations and documentation requirements.

  • Provide oversight of Medicare Utilization and the RAI process at each community through routine review of the clinical records.

  • Audit open and closed charts to meet established goals for Medicare A & B. Ensure that changes are made to documentation or workflow.

  • Collaborate with on-site team to assist with onboarding, training and support. Mentor MDS staff to ensure compliance and integrity of the RAI process.

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Additional Preferences

  • Strong background in MDS highly preferred.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience highly preferred.

  • Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Home experience.

  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.

  • Ability to be a leader of leaders: coaching, guidance, feedback, & retention.

  • Dedication to organizational priorities.

  • Ability to ensure each community is visited quarterly, with every other visit coordinated to align with Director of Clinical Ops visit.

  • Ability Partner with clinical leaders to improve MDS accuracy and MDS coordinator retention.
