Job Title : Database Cloud Engineer

Experis, part of ManpowerGroup, is hiring a Database Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic team with our public sector client. Candidates must be able to obtain a public trust clearance.

Locations: Preference to St. Louis, MO; San Antonio, TX; and Washington, DC

Duration: Long term

Pay rate: $50-$60/hr W2

Responsibilities:

  • Administer, develop, test, or demonstrate databases within cloud environments.

  • Perform various related database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery, and configuration management tailored for cloud deployments.

  • Install database management systems (DBMS) in cloud platforms and provide input for the modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance.

  • Design, develop, and test custom software solutions across multiple system components or applications within cloud-native infrastructures.

  • Create implementation or integration approaches for applications and components within cloud environments.

  • Translate system requirements into design specifications optimized for cloud deployments.

  • Provide primary support for the installation of application releases into production within cloud environments.

  • Design and code applications in line with programming standards and interface specifications optimized for cloud deployments.

Requirements :

  • Proven track record with 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Database Cloud Engineer, demonstrating expertise in managing, optimizing, and troubleshooting database systems in cloud environments.

  • Extensive proficiency with SQL, showcasing the ability to write complex queries, optimize database performance, and ensure data integrity within cloud-based infrastructures.

  • Strong background in various database technologies, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server, focusing on cloud-native solutions such as Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, or Azure SQL Database.

  • Comprehensive understanding of relational modeling principles and practices, with the ability to design efficient and scalable database schemas tailored for cloud deployments.

  • Proficiency in Database Administration, Structured Query Language (SQL), Database Technologies, and Relational Modeling within cloud environments.
