Job Description

A Glimpse of the Database Administrator Job (Mid and Senior Level)

As a Database Administrator (DBA) you will manage a variety of database platforms (MySql, MariaDB, Postgres, Oracle, Azure, and AWS) to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. We work together as a team of data people - including DBA’s, analysts, data engineers, and visualization specialists - to enhance data infrastructure for effective processing, analysis, and strategic decision making.

Our customers are a variety of groups including staff, faculty, and research located in College Station, Texas. This is an onsite position. Relocation may be available.

You must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent and three or five years of related database administration experience to be considered.

A well-qualified candidate doesn’t require all of the following though is a plus

  • Familiarity with variety of database technologies (MySQL, Postgre SQL)

  • Proficency in managing Azure and AWS products such as RDS, Redshift, Azure SQL, and Synapse

  • Experience with data migration, replication, and ETL processes

  • Experience with security, backups, recovery, performance tuning, query optimization, and monitoring tools

Salary Range is commensurate with experience at $73,000 - $88,000 (mid-level) and $80,000 - $97,000 (senior).
