Are you someone who loves supporting internal customers by providing excellent customer service over the phone in an exciting and fast paced environment? If so, the Travel Counselor position could be perfect for you! The Travel Counselor will assist Jack Henry associates booking airfares, car rentals, and hotels for commercial travel, ensuring the safe arrival of all travelers and verifying the accuracy of reservations and other travel arrangements. We’re seeking candidates who want to provide their fellow associates with an excellent customer service experience for travel and have a strong sense of urgency with a positive attitude. There is tremendous career growth for the right individual.

This is a hybrid position that requires you to work onsite at our Monett-based travel office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. You may work remotely from home the other days. Hours are either 8am-5pm CT or 9am-6pm CT, determined by the hiring manager. This is an hourly position with a pay range of $15.86-$19.71/hour, depending on candidate experience and location.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Arranges transportation, lodging, accommodations, and other travel services for company employees in commercial travel.

  • Converses with employees to determine destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, and accommodations required.

  • Assists travelers with billing questions pertaining to their travel.

  • Communicates pertinent information to employees and resolves any scheduling issues.

  • Handles schedule changes, refunds, voids, and exchanges associated with airfare tickets.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center, chat support, travel, and/or hospitality role.

  • Basic computer skills and excellent customer service skills.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Strong communication and customer interaction skills.

  • Knowledge of fare rules and regulations.

  • Able to make logical decisions in complex or time-sensitive situations.

  • Able to learn Sabre for commercial travel booking.

  • Travel Agent certification preferred.
