S&P Global Connected Car Services Forecast Senior Analyst in United States
The IHS Markit Automotive - Supply Chain and Technology team is in search of a Senior Research Analyst – Connected Car Software, focusing on research and forecasting of a variety of aspects of infotainment-related software in connected vehicles.
General Job Duties
Conduct primary and secondary research to build in-depth understanding of automotive software as it relates to stacks used in infotainment, connectivity, telematics control units, and domain controllers as well as the impact of cybersecurity on these related domains
Maintain databases which track a set of attributes related to connected services including telematics services, paid fictional updates, and more
Present findings/data via webinars and at conferences/tradeshows/client events
Nurture a network of contacts at automotive companies
Directly support local sales team to secure renewals and new business
Requirements
Proven understanding of current and future trends in automotive software and/or services for connected car applications, including software platforms such as Linux, QNX, Android, iOS, Alexa, etc.
Passion and knowledge of automotive, technology, and/or mobile telecommunications industry
Demonstrated analytical and data interpretation skills
Proficiency with MS applications required (Excel, Word and PowerPoint); understanding of database mechanics helpful but not essential (e.g. Access, SQL)
Engineering and/or software development background is highly desirable, OEM and/or Tier-1 relevant experience is a plus
Strong presentations skills and comfortable in client interactions a plus
