GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of the Community Partnership Coordinator position is to support public and private childcare facilities with compliance with state vaccination administrative rules. This position is responsible for coordinating, developing, and providing training to childcare facilities. This position will also conduct annual audits and complete annual reporting requirements, as well as work on special projects. This position will work with Immunization Unit staff to utilize effective communication methods to address current immunization issues. This position will assist with promoting immunizations and providing educational opportunities for childcare facilities, healthcare providers, and the general public.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed at the job level.

  • Support childcare facilities in meeting and maintaining compliance with mandatory immunization requirements as outlined in Statutes and Rules.

  • Organize annual training and technical assistance to ensure that childcare facilities are trained on how to comply with and effectively message immunization requirements.

  • Administer the Immunization Status Report (ISR) annually to all Wyoming licensed childcare facilities, in partnership with the Department of Family Services (DFS).

  • Analyze, clean, and compile data from the ISR.

  • Work with partners such as the DFS, childcare facilities, and others to improve compliance with state immunization requirements.

  • Coordinate and develop partnerships with and serve as a liaison to childcare facilities, Head Start Programs, Maternal and Child Health partners, colleges, and local health departments.

  • Work with partners to collect and disseminate data and best practices.

  • Organize/conduct/facilitate presentations, seminars, workshops, and in-service training on immunization-related topics for childcare facilities.

  • Share best practices and lessons learned between organizations.

  • Update the website with educational materials and resources useful to childcare facilities, immunization providers, and partners.

  • Develop communications and coordinate activities for immunization-related health observances and other focus areas.

  • Participate in annual meetings and health fairs with a variety of stakeholders. This includes travel to and from the location, setting up any displays, discussing immunizations with participants, and answering questions as needed.

  • Implement activities to increase vaccine confidence.

  • Maintain an awareness of vaccination activities in colleges and universities.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

  • Computer skills include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Google Suite products—experience using online applications.

  • Experience conducting assessments and analyzing data.

  • Experience with collaboration and coordination.

  • Organization and multi-tasking abilities.

  • Knowledge and ability in Customer service.

  • Time management, prioritization, and scheduling skills.

  • Knowledge of the importance of immunizations.

  • Management of multiple projects effectively and efficiently

  • Teamwork Abilities.

  • Knowledge and ability in building relationships.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local statutes, policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of adult education curriculums, teaching techniques, and methods.

  • Knowledge of distance learning techniques.

  • Knowledge of educational practices.

  • Knowledge of marketing, social marketing, customer service, group dynamics, public relations, advocacy, and outreach strategies.

  • Knowledge of and experience with social science theories and research methodologies.

  • Knowledge of and experience with public participation techniques.

  • Knowledge of project management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (typically in Healthcare)

Experience:

0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Health Programs)

OR

Education & Experience Substitution:

3-5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Health Programs)

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • The employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
