Our Client, a Medical Center company, is looking for a Clinical Informatics Program Manager for their Remote, MA location. Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Informatics Program Manager (CIPM) plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the CMIO’s office and health informatics department. This individual is responsible for overseeing key initiatives, managing strategic projects, and coordinating communication and decision-making processes within the department. The CIPL will act as a trusted advisor to the CMIO, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and managing day-to-day operations to support the CMIO’s vision and goals. This role requires strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills, along with a deep understanding of healthcare and health information technology.

  • Collaborate with the CMIO to prioritize and manage key initiatives across the health informatics department.

  • Ensure successful implementation of major health IT and clinical informatics projects, tracking progress and addressing challenges.

  • Coordinate with various teams across departments to align on strategic goals, project timelines, and deliverables.

  • Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Serve as a liaison between the CMIO and other senior leaders, medical staff, IT teams, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.

  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and reports for the CMIO to present to executives, boards, or external partners.

  • Manage internal and external communication on behalf of the CMIO, drafting memos, letters, and responses as necessary.

  • Operational Oversight:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the CMIO office, ensuring all administrative and operational activities are running smoothly.

  • Organize and facilitate meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up on action items.

  • Manage the CMIO’s calendar, prioritizing requests and ensuring effective time management.

  • Analysis & Reporting:

  • Provide analytical support to the CMIO by gathering and synthesizing data to inform decision-making.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports, dashboards, and presentations to monitor the performance of health IT systems and informatics initiatives.

  • Leadership & Team Collaboration:

  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the CMIO, providing input on key decisions and strategies.

  • Work closely with the health IT, clinical informatics, and data governance teams to ensure alignment with the CMIO’s goals.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, supporting professional development within the department.

  • Job Requirements

    Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with preference for major in healthcare administration, health informatics. Master’s degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MPH, MHA).

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare administration, project management, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery systems, electronic health records (EHR), and health information technology (HIT); required; experience with Epic Electronic Health record preferred.

  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.

  • Experience in health informatics preferred

  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, HITECH Act) and healthcare data governance preferred

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to diverse audiences.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and health IT software (e.g., EHR systems, data analytics platforms).

  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
