GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position is tasked with constructing, installing, or repairing structures and fixtures made of wood and various materials for the safety and integrity of patient units, employee workspaces, and the facilities buildings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
Maintains building exteriors and interiors, including walls, windows and doors.
Designs, constructs, and installs furniture or exhibits.
Repairs or replaces doors, installs rock on buildings, re-shingles, re-roofs buildings, and repairs vehicles.
Works with insulation, ceiling construction drywall, mud, and tape.
Uses, maintains and repairs all hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Remodel office areas as specified by blueprints including modular partition systems.
Works up cost analysis of material and labor for construction of projects.
Assists the Maintenance department with moving hospital furniture, pictures, and signage.
Repair or replace items that are damaged or not functioning properly as noted on work orders.
Assists the Maintenance department with the prevention of weather damage to all buildings.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of OSHA and ADA codes.
Knowledge of construction and maintenance methods and practices.
Knowledge of hardware installation, maintenance, and repair for doors, cabinets, restroom partitions, and various other hardware.
Knowledge of quality and cost of materials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Associate's Degree
Experience:
0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Carpentry)
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Carpentry)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None
Necessary Special Requirements
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to hazardous materials, bodily fluids, chemicals, body parts, bio-hazards, potential explosives, and the elements.
Must be able to drive vehicles, and operate large complex cleaning and grounds maintenance equipment.

A background check, including fingerprinting, will be completed through the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Wyoming Department of Family Services, and the F.B.I. for every successful applicant.
