About you:

You are located in the Inland Empire, CA or Phoenix, AZ and are interested in regular travel for team meetings in Fort Worth, TX, Chicago, IL or Omaha, NE. You are a highly energetic and enthusiastic, yet humble individual, with a passion for finding and winning new business. You are hungry and willing to hunt. You are not afraid to pick up the phone, send emails, or knock on doors. You understand the transportation space, and you understand the challenges faced by shippers, logistics providers, truck drivers, and yard operators; and you are effectively able to connect the dots between those challenges and show customers how your solutions address them. You collaborate well cross-functionally, and you have a passion for improving the supply chain.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Director, West Region will be responsible for driving ConGlobal’s growth and impact in the Western Region through building a pipeline of business through existing leads, cold calling, knocking on doors, network (existing and building new), and tools provided to assist. This role is responsible for progressing this pipeline through the sales cycle and closing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow clients, markets, and profitability / achieve annual business development targets and objectives.

  • Use a consultative approach, partner with customers to understand their business objectives and prospect for opportunities, and then develop and deliver solutions that meet those objectives.

  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

  • Understand industry and client markets and trends, and report on forces that could shift tactical goals and strategic direction.

  • Develop and execute product positioning and pricing strategies that produce the highest possible long-term market share and earnings.

  • Ensure effective control of business development results and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of business development objectives falls within corporate objectives.

  • Represent the company at trade association meetings, conferences, and industry events.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.

  • Monitor competitor products, sales, and marketing activities.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must live in the Inland Empire, CA or Phoenix AZ to be active in the assigned market. Regular travel for team meetings in Fort Worth, TX, Chicago, IL and Omaha, NE required.

  • High School Degree Required

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or business development.

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan development to close.

  • Demonstrated experience in achieving sales targets and developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.

  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence all levels of an organization, including executives, senior level management, and stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to position products & services against competitors.

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Excellent quantitative, verbal, and written communications skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

  • Must be able to competently manage competing, multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Creative and intellectually curious, with a strong work ethic.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience selling to warehousing tenants of all kinds (e-commerce companies, major retailers, CPG companies, 3PLs, etc).

  • Experience selling technology solutions.
