Overall Job Purpose

Acts as a frontline leader to lead the sales team, to identify potential producers and to train, retain and develop these agents towards higher productivity. He/she will lead and drive the sales manager in achieving high level of profitability , growth, retention, professionalism & customer satisfaction. This person also involves close collaboration with different business divisions such as Auto, Accident & Health, SME, Casualty and Financial Lines and the producer who promotes AIG products suites.

The main role of a BM is to drive and meet agency business objectives, and at the same time, help the producers meet their professional goals. Thus, it is important that the BM understands the company sales process (product, underwriting appetite, compliance, claims, service process) and the external market environment (customer buying trends, competitor's strength and weaknesses).

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Leading the sales team to meet desired business goals and achieve Agency production target.

  • Managing a branch’s daily operation and business needs.

  • Meeting and exceeding recruitment target set by the management.

  • Manage branch’s agent turnover ratios.

  • Manage branch’s agency renewal business effectively.

  • Conduct training to agents using the AIG Best Practices.

  • Support Zone Manager/ Head of Sales on Agency Development.

  • Ensure all the trainings and sales activities established by Zone Manager/ Head of Sales are being carried out effectively.

  • Working directly with agents to improve agency’s top & bottom line and customer satisfaction through active sales involvement.

  • Conduct regular sales activities such as joint field work with producers and monthly engagement events as well as trainings with targeted producers.

  • Collaborate with producers to identify business opportunities and build accounts pipeline through the producers’ clientele base.

  • Be proficient with sales numbers through daily production tracking and trending.

  • Participate in regular and ad-hoc agency events.

What we’re looking for: Requirement

  • Bachelors’ Degree Preferred

  • Experience in General Insurance industry with good knowledge of generic products.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build credibility with new agents.

  • High energy and driven to meet sales targets.

  • Adaptable and able to work independently and under stress.

  • Good and effective Communication skill.

  • Planning and Time Management to meet Deadlines and Accomplish goals.

  • Expresses ideas in writing in a complete and thorough manner.

  • Willing to work in Agencies in all phases of the Agency Development Process.

  • Possesses interpersonal skills which create a positive working environment.

  • Works well with all Profit Centers.

  • Willing to travel
