West Texas A&M University (WTAMU) invites applications for a probationary tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Curriculum and Instruction. Position responsibilities include teaching undergraduate or graduate courses in professional development and curriculum and instruction, advising and recruiting students, working cooperatively with area public schools, maintaining an active research and publication agenda, participating in school and university committees and professional organizations, and other duties as assigned.

Work Performed:
Teaching responsibilities for this position include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in professional development and curriculum and instruction, advising and recruiting students, working cooperatively with area public schools, maintaining an active research and publication agenda, participating in school and university committees and professional organizations, and other duties as assigned.
Necessary Qualifications:
A doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction (ABD applicants may be considered; however, completion of degree must occur no later than the beginning of the appointment)
Three years of teaching experience in Grades EC-12.
State licensure or certification in teaching
An active research agenda with evidence of research and scholarly activities
Preferred Qualifications: Completion of graduate or postgraduate emphasis in Special Education and/or a Related Field
Teaching experience on the undergraduate or graduate levels
Experience in teaching both face-to-face and web-based delivery systems
Knowledge and experience with the Teacher Residency model.
Interest in leading a Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE) student organization
