License/Certifications Required:

  • Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, or related field, or master’s degree in counseling, Social Work, or related field and eligibility for appropriate licensure in North Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Generalist clinical skills assessing a wide range of disorders and pathology.

  • Commitment to providing culturally responsive clinical services and outreach programming to historically underserved populations

  • Interest and experience providing clinical supervision to doctoral and master’s level trainees.

  • Experience providing consultation in a university setting and building collaborative relationships with coaches, trainers, and other Athletics Department staff.

  • Experience with the assessment and treatment of eating disorders, ideally with student-athletes in a high-performance environment.

  • Certification in mental performance consultation ( CMPC ) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology ( AASP ) or completed educational requirements for CMPC and eligibility to sit for certification exam within one year.
