Position Summary

The Assembler is responsible for maintaining production of light products to meet customer requirements.

Shift: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday & 7:00am-11:00am on Friday

Duties

1. Intermediate blueprint reading.

   2. Ability to assembly and knowledge of the functions of major component parts and sub-assemblies within an assigned area.

   3. Basic knowledge of electrical schematics.

   4. Ability to maintain published productivity standards on moderately challenging assemblies.

   5. Sound working knowledge and solid assembly skills of at least two complete products (if the assembly level tops out as a B assembler).

   6. Completion of cross-training program.

   7. Sound working knowledge of all related test equipment and its purposes.

   8. Maintain high quality standards (meet the departments published quality rating).

   9. Maintain safe work areas and practice safe work habits.

   10. Conform to all policies, procedures and rules of conduct as communicated through the Associate Handbook, Bulletin Boards, Newsletters, and any other vehicle by which information is distributed by STERIS® Management.

Education Degree

• High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

1. Ability to perform basic Shop Floor Control applications.

   2. AS400 preferred but not required.

   3. High school education or GED equivalent required.

   4. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers.

   5. Ability to understand and follow work instructions, both written and oral.

   6. Ability to adapt to conditions as dictated by business requirements.

   7. Ability to work with others.

Preferred Experience

• Prior AS400 experience preferred

• Experience with hydraulics and electrical component assemblies desired.
