Description

This position will lead and provide direction in the development, implementation, and communication of rules, procedures, and instructions (RPI) in support of Agency goals. It provides support for and follows SOP protocols. Assists Manager, RPI with multi-department and cross-divisional process updates. Drafts and developments agency level RPIs when needed. Assists as directed with Safety, Maintenance, Security, and other stakeholders in the development of RPIs.

Four (4) days a week on site are required.

Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers’ experiences and of TriMet’s product and service offerings.

Essential Functions

  1. D evelop new, or revise department rules, procedures, instructions, communication protocols, in support of agency goals. Provide regular review of operating rules, procedures, and instructions to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

  2. L ead the effort to development or revise department rules, procedures, instructions, communication protocols, and business processes that impact operations and in support of agency goals. Assist as directed with multi-departmental and cross-divisional process updates. Drafts and develops agency level RPI as directed.

  3. P rovide Analysis as it relates to keeping RPI(s) reviewed and update on time. Respond to and provide direction to the Analyst, RPI for maintaining the periodic review of all applicable RPI(s).

  4. S upport the processes to challenge, review and enhance operational standards and work practices, identifying opportunities to improve safety.

  5. A pply strategies and protocols to facilitate teamwork under continuous improvement work model.

  6. P articipate in, and field policy feedback in agency safety committee meetings. Utilize this information to further update RPI.

  7. F ill in as representative for RPI Manager in agency meetings that may result in process changes

Position Requirements

A B achelor's Degree is required, with a B achelor's Degree in P ublic Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Management/Urban Planning, Business Administration or Technical Writing is desired.

Four (4) years of credited experience, with three (3) years in bus or rail operations is required. One (1) year in t raining, Technical writing, Project management, or other Policy type work is preferred.

Salary Range

Minimum: $81,948.00

Maximum: $122,923.00

    Salary offers will be determined by a candidate’s education, training and relevant experience. Any final offer of employment will fall within the range stated above. For transparency, we choose to list the full available grade range, however, TriMet’s salary administration process will ultimately determine the final salary offered.
