Friends University is seeking to fill an Admissions Counselor position in Wichita Kansas. This position recruits new students for traditional undergraduate programs. Represents the University at high school visits, college fairs, etc. Plays a critical role in student and family visits to the campus and additional events. Recruiting via phone, email, text, social networking and in person and/or visiting with counselors, teachers and coaches at high schools and community colleges.

Six months or more of similar or related experience. Well-developed public speaking, presentation, communication and organizational skills. Professional work experience in sales/promotion/public relations or related field preferred with the proven ability to meet goals. Knowledge of Microsoft environments including Word and Excel required.

Bachelor's degree required.

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required. Bilingual in English-Spanish is a plus. Must have a positive outgoing personality. Comfortable with initiating conversations with prospective students. Able to present Friends University in a succinct and compelling manner. Ability to close sales.
