Oracle (Senior) Software Engineer- OLTP in Taiwan

The system Test team is part of the Database Server Technologies division. It is responsible for performing multi-tier stress, destructive, and performance tests using various testing tools, to emulate real-world enterprise DB usage scenarios. These simulations are conducted in a lab environment consisting of tens/hundreds of servers, to mimic end-to-end high-stress scenarios, involving large and complex DB configurations.

As a member of the team, we will give you proper training, so you get the chance to explore the latest Oracle DB features and technologies. You will gain first-hand experience in a few very large/complex DB configurations, both for on-premises and Oracle Cloud service. You will be responsible for designing cases and writing shell or Python codes and to automate the tests. Responsibilities

  1. Design and develop basic database objects like tables, views, and indexes

  2. Write and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL scripts for database operations

  3. Assist in the management of high-volume transaction systems and ensure their efficiency

  4. Familiarity with basic Linux/Unix commands and basic shell scripting or Python

  5. Create scripts and utilities to automate repetitive tasks

  6. Basic experience with Oracle database concepts, including transactions and basic performance tuning

  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  9. Willingness to learn new technologies and improve skill sets
