Schneider Electric Commercial Operations Manager in Thailand

This position will be responsible to assist local BVP to achieve sales operation excellence and to drive efficiencies, advocating best in class processes and methods. Primary responsibilities include providing business operation support to business leaders by monitoring orders, sales and backlog, as well as the financial performance of the business units.

Candidate must be process orientated able to analyze existing methods, processes and recommend improvements. He/She must be able to provide leadership to implement new operational procedures, deployment of business systems and tools. Lead communication of business process improvement / system changes and provide training to users.

The incumbent must demonstrate excellence in communication at all levels with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. To lead initiatives working with country management to ensure accurate weekly / monthly cadence and demand planning in units and dollars. Track and report sales, services and distributor team performance on a timely manner. Perform cost benefit analysis on product and project investments pro-actively and regularly to ensure business profitability.

Description of Essential Functions

Sales Operations

  • Weekly forecasting - organize weekly sales and services forecast
  • Lead monthly Order Demand Planning process and handshake with business
  • Ensuring BFO accuracy
  • Assist in yearly quota setting and sales attainment tracking
  • Track Day Sales Outstanding (DSO) status weekly
  • Validate completeness and accuracy of Quote ID approval submissions
  • Assist in preparation of project package (CPP) for approval
  • Track quality escalations and coordinate with regional teams to resolution
  • Assist finance in quarterly budget planning
  • Oversee quota setting and Terms &Conditions in partner contracts

Business performance reporting (weekly and monthly package) and analysis

  • Marketing performance and ROI analysis
  • Monthly customer quality and satisfaction scorecard report
  • Pricing and discounting trend analysis by line of business

Performance monitoring and action plans

  • Sales and services performance by line of business by sales person (commission)
  • Sales and service team productivity reporting – top / bottom three
  • Sales IN / OUT analysis, distributor inventory and sales trending
  • Revenue backlog and deferred report and ad-hoc reports
  • Be the trusted business analyst for the performance over sales initiatives, enabling both end user and channel commercial teams to focus on driving the business.

Owner of Market To Order (MTO and Order To Deliver (OTD)processes

  • Proficient in all MTO and OTD sub-processes
  • Ensure all existing and new sales are adequately trained
  • Oversee and supervise to ensure adherence to ALL MTO sub-processes
  • Work closely on OTD tracking and escalations
  • Knowledge of Customer Project Process (CCP)

Sales business IT systems Super User

  • Proficient in In-touch, In-sight, Channel In-sight, Order Entry, Demand Planning
  • Super user to lead MTO and OTD systems training and deployment
  • Deploy enablement tools that supports the sales leaders and their team activity and drive its digitization
  • Advocate to escalate business functionality needs to corporate



  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business or finance


  • 5 years or more working experience in a similar capacity


  • Strong aptitude for process and systems

  • IT Oracle and Siebel systems knowledge preferred

  • Proven skills in the areas of planning and operational excellence.

  • Must be comfortable in developing relationships with senior business executives and management of major corporations and accounts

  • Demonstrates methodical and organized working style

  • Strong communicator – both written and verbal in technical and non-technical environment

  • Able to interpret financial data

  • Leader in customer service – professional approach to internal/ external clients

  • Ability to meet deadlines and demonstrates effective time management skills

  • Excellent business ethics and integrity

  • Demonstrates a flexibility in operational style to meet the requirements or multi-culture position

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow through to meet objectives

  • Have a “CAN DO” attitude and comfortable with being a change agent to challenge status quo
