AIG Tax Manager - Asia in Singapore

We offer a broad range of products through a diversified, multi-channel distribution network, including one of the world’s most far-reaching property casualty networks.How you will create an impactWorking in the Singapore based Global Tax - Asia team, you will support all facets of tax reporting, operations, advisory, planning and strategy. You will be the primary resource in the Asia tax team for data mining and analytics, governance, and technology. You will collaborate with our finance teams in country and in Service Centers, and Asia/Global Tax SMEs as required (e.g. Controllership, Advisory/Controversy, Strategy, Transfer Pricing, Indirect Taxes and Employment Taxes).

  • Support the Global Tax - Asia team in all facets of tax reporting, operations, advisory, planning and strategy;

  • Participate and lead tax process improvement projects around governance, controls testing and process mapping initiatives, and assist with management of standard operating procedure inventories;

  • Design and perform health checks across various tax processes

  • Utilise strong MS Excel skills, PowerPoint, Alteryx, and Power BI skills to collect, analyze, and disseminate data and also develop and strengthen tax analytic tools and compliance and reporting for Asia;

  • Lead role in implementation/localization of regional or global tax technology implementations and compliance initiatives

  • Provide data mining support on controversy and projects, working closely with the tax team, operations, IT and the business.

  • Conduct ad hoc research assignments and present findings in a concise and comprehensive manner;

What you’ll need to succeed

  • University graduates with major in Business or Accounting preferred

  • A very enthusiastic, curious, proactive and hands-on approach.

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent MS Excel skills and PowerPoint, proficiency in Alteryx, Power BI or similar

  • High attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills;

  • Must work well as part of a team.

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
