Liberty Latin America Manager, Business Analytics in Panama

What's The Role

LLA´s Advanced Analytics area is responsible for delivering measurable and actionable value to all the group´s business functions (commercial, finance, operations, networks, etc..) through data and analytics-based enhancements. Those enhancements will be a mix of AI/ML models and operationalized strategies which allow the different areas to improve their decisions and actions.

To achieve this goal, the area needs to have top notch business analytics capabilities to guide all the different stakeholders in the operationalization and go to market of every model or solution that is implemented inside the advanced analytics area and needs to be deployed. To achieve this goal we are looking for strong strategic and financial thinker who has a very strong business background and is capable of understand, design and quantify the impact of designed solutions together with the business analytics director.

What You'll Do

The Business Analytics Manager will use his business and financial knowledge to perform complex analysis to:

  • Implement the go-to-market strategy for Advanced Analytics projects in Liberty operations, including Insertion of machine learning models to improve operational performance, deploy AI based technologies to improve the understanding of the operation.

  • Perform exploratory analysis by its own or by leading the team of analysts, resulting in meaningful insights that help to identify and prioritize use cases based on Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning tools. Find patterns and correlations that enable the reduction of churn or increase of revenue.

  • Understand LLA´s main business pain points which can be addressed with analytics-based solutions and align key external stakeholders to define objectives, KPIs and go-to market plans. Including impact and required resources assessment.

  • Do financial impact assessment models for all the new models and operational enhancements led by the advanced analytics area.

  • Perform specific key analysis with guidance from any of the senior members of the area (i.e churn profiling of mobile prepaid in Granada).

The ideal candidate will have a top-notch business and analytics skills with proven financial analysis expertise. Strong stakeholder management experience supporting business cases and financial results is a must. Key accountabilities will include:

  • Support the director in coordinating and leading the Business Analytics team.

  • Handle the relationship with key stakeholder including Operations’ CTOs, CCOs, and Chief of Customer.

  • Help to define the roadmap and vision of Advanced Analytics tools, build data roadmaps, and identify data changes that may affect advanced analytics operations or models.

  • Identify value levers and operational requirements for business cases design and modelling.

  • Support the business analytics director to prioritize advanced analytics´ efforts to ensure optimal ROI over available resources and manage those discussions with senior stakeholders across business units and functions.

  • Track and analyse the resource allocations and spend in the area vs the value generated at an effort level.

What Do You Need

Preferred education/ qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • MBA or data management related masters is preferred.

  • Fully proficient in English and Spanish

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience consulting, investment banking, private equity, start-ups with strong analytical mindsets or related industries

  • Excellent skills modelling complex models and using advanced analytics tools to solve them

  • Strong skills creating presentations and explaining complex concepts to C-Level stakeholders

  • Strong project management skills, including expertise in using Agile oriented tools

  • Capable of understanding complex technical concepts and its implications in operations and business performance

  • Experience leading business and technical teams

  • Experience in working, setting up, or coordinating Agile setups

  • Telecom experience is a plus

  • AI/ML management experience is a plus
